BASTET'S SUMMER 2008 TRIBAL BELLYDANCE CLASSES |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Tribal Bellydance is a fusion of folk dances from the Middle East, India, North Africa and Spain. Tribal style bellydancing is unique in that it is danced as a group for the purpose of fostering community, connection, joy, and camaraderie. Bastet teaches these six week sessions at The Avalon Studio in Catonsville, Maryland. • LEVEL 1 TRIBAL BELLYDANCE: Tribal Belly Dance Level 1 will blend the basic techniques of Belly Dance with the unique lead and follow moves that make Tribal what it is: a group exploration of dance! In this class we will learn and review the Level 1 moves and work on becoming comfortable with leading, transitioning and changing formations. (Recommended that participants take the intro class first.) • LEVEL 2 TRIBAL BELLYDANCE: The Level 2 class teaches more intermedi-ate techniques and brings them to the group dance in the form of new, more advanced lead and follow moves. This is also where the individual can explore her/his own style and improvisational skills. |
